Like on the first day of Noelanders Trophy Kevin Willson also made the second demo on a Larix. The demo was great and next to a very promising first styling Kevin Willson gave a nice explanation about the different design possibilities of the tree.

Noelanders Trophy 2014 - Demo Nr.2 by David Benavente
On the second day David Benavente and Jan Culek worked on an interesting Pine. The main objective of the styling was a radical change of the current front of the tree. Therefore some heavy bending was necessary. While making the bending some small but important details ware explained.
Of course the end result of the second demo was also great.

Noelanders Trophy 2014 - Demo Nr.1 by Ryan Neil
The first time I saw Ryen Neil working on a tree was two years ago at Noelanders Trophy 2012 and I was blown away. His deep knowledge, understanding of bonsai, artistic skills and energy are amazing.
So this year the expectations ware very high, but again he showed that he is one of the best bonsai artists and managed to exceed my already high expectations.

Noelanders Trophy 2014 - Demo Nr.1 by Kevin Wilson
Kevin Wilson and his assistant Richard Chembers made two great demo's at this years Noelanders Trophy. On both days they worked on quite difficult Larix. Below are some photos from the first demo.
Kevin Wilson is known for his great deadwood styling, but with the demo's at Noelanders he proved one more time that deadwood styling is only one of his strengths which is a part of his rich artistic knowledge and makes him an unique and professional bonsai artist.

Noelanders Trophy 2014 - Demo Nr.1 by David Benavente
I think that David Benavente doesn't need a special introduction. His trees which we ware all lucky to see the last couple of years at the Noelanders Trophy are simply amazing and speak for them self.
Unfortunately at this years Noelanders Trophy he didn't exhibit any trees, but the good thing is that instead of exhibiting some of his great trees, he impressed with two great demos.
He and his assistant Jan Culek made a great job. On the first day they styled a Pinus Sylvestris shown in the photos below and at least in my eyes the end result is superb.
