Juniper Cascade

This weekend an International bonsai and kusamono exhibition will take place in Hallein (Austria) and I'm happy that I will have the opportunity to exhibit one of my trees.

Today I was preparing my Juniper Cascade (Juniperus Procumbens Nana) for this exhibition and I think we are almost finished and ready to go. There are some details which have to be corrected before the exhibition but I'm pleased with the current image of the tree.

Juniper Cascade

Its a nice and warm feeling when you observe how a tree develops and how I learn and develop at the same time. When I look back its stunning to see from where we started. The old photos are the ones that remind me of the start and of the nice progress that we achieved in the last four years when I got the tree as a raw material in 2009.

New Prunus Mahaleb Yamadori

Prunus Mahaleb is one of my favourite species and this new, big example has joined my garden in early spring. In my opinion the tree has good potential to become a strong and powerful bonsai in the future.
